The Chicago Journal of Visual Art focuses on the publication of text regarding the visual arts, aiming to showcase the work of young writers, historians, and artists in Chicago. Our aim is to honor the talent and creative nerve that the city’s youth boasts, while simultaneously exhibiting concepts and opinions that are well-researched, critical, and rooted in academic and journalistic practices.  The Chicago Journal of Visual Art publishes early-career writers working at the intersection of criticism, history, and community.
